Fatal Semi Truck Accident in Dewey County

Dewey County, OKLA. -

A fatal collision involving a semi truck occurred in Dewey County Sunday morning, Oct. 7.

Samuel Tomson, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries after being ejected from his Peterbilt semi truck 4.3 miles north of Leedy on state highway 34.

Tomson ran off the side of the roadway and after over correcting the vehicle, rolled one time and he was ejected from the semi. Tomson was ejected approximately 60 feet from the vehicle, according to the report.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states that seatbelts were equipped in the vehicle, however they were not in use.
