Pine Bluff Police: Hit and run victim dies in hospital

UPDATE: Jonathan Haney, 20, died at UAMS early Monday morning after being hit by an SUV in Pine Bluff Friday night.

Pine Bluff Police are asking anyone that knows a person who was driving an black SUV on Friday to contact authorities.

Anyone with information should call the Pine Bluff Police Detective Division at (870)730-2090. All calls will be kept confidential and a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 cash is available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s). (KATV) A Pine Bluff man is fighting for his life after the driver of an SUV hit him. It happened shortly before midnight Friday night.

Police say 19-year-old Erick Green and 20-year-old Jonathan Haney were walking on West 6th Avenue near Young Street when a black SUV hit both of them. The driver fled the scene.

Green received minor injuries, but Haney's injuries were much more serious. He was transferred from Jefferson Regional in Pine Bluff to UAMS.
