I-40 sampling work to continue in East Arkansas next week

FORREST CITY (Times-Herald) - Overnight sampling work on Interstate 40 will continue next week, forcing lane closures between the Widener and Shearerville exits.

According to a press release from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, the eastbound outside lane of I-40 will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. before the work switches to the westbound outside lane on Thursday Oct. 11, and Friday Oct. 12.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work.
