HOT SPRINGS (KATV) - Police arrested a suspect Wednesday in the weekend homicide that cost one man his life.
Officers were called to 421 S. Patterson just before 8:00 Sunday night on a case of public intoxication. They found 22-year-old James Moore laying in the grass on the side of the road near the northeast corner of Plain and Centerview streets.
Witnesses told investigators Moore had broken a window at 421 S. Patterson then started walking away. Around the same time, they said 24-year-old Stacy Tilson also left the home in a maroon Pontiac Grand. That car was later found at the home with extensive damage to the windshield plus clothing and blood around the damaged area.
According to a police report, Tilson later admitted to hitting Moore with the car, saying glass from the window he allegedly broke beforehand cut her sister.
Moore was taken to a local hospital but died from his injuries on Tuesday.
Tilson was charged with second degree murder. She is being held in lieu of a $1 million bond.
