Race Space opens at Pleasant Ridge Shopping Center.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - In two weeks, thousands of women will gather in Downtown Little Rock for the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Organizers and volunteers officially opened the Race Space Friday morning with a prayer. It's located at the Pleasant Ridge Shopping Center.

Race Space is the onsite registration for all categories of race participants, 5K, 2K, Competitive Run, Three Miles of Men, Kids for the Cure and Sleep in for the Cure.  Participants can register and receive their shirt at the same time. 

The site is open until Friday October 19. The store opens at 10 a.m. Monday - Saturday and closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Race Space opens at noon on Sundays.

Funds from the Komen Race for the Cure go to research, education, screening and treatment programs.
