A police chase through an East Tulsa construction zone ended in a fiery crash.

Police at the scene said the driver was speeding through a construction zone Thursday morning on Interstate 244 and exited onto northbound Garnett Road.

The car crashed and the vehicle caught on fire.

The driver fled from the vehicle on foot and was taken into custody.
