7OYS Case Updates

When our Seven-On-Your-Side office shares a story with you, it's often just the beginning of a long and winding road for the people involved.

Here is a look at the latest stop on a few of those journeys.

In two cases, stops in courtrooms have taken place…and more court dates are to come.

Preston Wadkins owns Barn Builders of Arkansas, but lately he has been building up quite a rap sheet.

Wadkins was in court in Beebe for plea and arraignment on a terroristic threatening charge.  And now he is facing a second terroristic threatening charge involving a different person.

Back in July we told you how Wadkins was getting crossways with some of his customers…customers who claimed he had collected money for projects that were either not completed or done poorly.

In another case, it was in January when we went to Faulkner County looking for an Arkansas woman accused of taking money from drought-stricken Texas ranchers for hay and then supplying them with very poor quality hay or less than they paid for.

Teressa Joyner-Tapp has been indicted by a Texas federal grand jury.

Joyner-Tapp faces a charge of felony theft of more than $1,500 but less than $20,000.

And no news is bad news for Jessie Vernon.

Vernon says he continues to get no response from either the city of Little Rock or the contractor hired by the city who accidentally razed a vacant home owned by Vernon.

The contractor was supposed to demolish the vacant house next door to Vernon's property.

The city of Little Rock is currently reviewing its house demolition policies.

Apparently there have been other demolition orders that have caused some confusion if not mistaken destruction.
