HOT SPRINGS (AP) - Republican
congressional hopeful Tom Cotton and Democratic rival Gene Jeffress both
say the nation's health care system is imperfect, but they disagree
over whether the federal law overhauling it should be repealed.
Cotton and Jeffress faced
off Tuesday night in a brief debate in their race a south Arkansas
congressional seat. Both are trying to replace retiring Democratic U.S.
Rep. Mike Ross.
Cotton said he wants to repeal the federal health care law and replace it with what he calls "patient centered" reforms.
Jeffress said after the debate that he's opposed to repealing the new federal law.
Libertarian candidate Bobby
Tullis also called for the law's repeal, while Green Party hopeful
Joshua Drake said he believed health care is a right.
