Jacksonville police looking for robbery suspect

JACKSONVILLE (KATV) -

JACKSONVILLE (KATV) - A clerk escapes unharmed after a robbery suspect threatens to shoot her.

According to the Jacksonville Police Department, a suspect entered the Citgo Station on Marshall Road with a handgun and demanded money around 2 AM.  

Police say the store clerk opened the register and the suspect took the money, but then he demanded cigarettes and for the clerk to open the safe.

They say when the clerk told the suspect she was not able to do what he wanted, he threatened to shoot her.  

The clerk was able to run from the store unharmed, and the suspect fled the area with an undetermined amount of money.
