The country is pulling for a Tulane University football player seriously injured in Tulsa
Tulane senior safety Devon Walker was involved in a head-to-head collision in the last play of first half of Saturday's game against the university of Tulsa.
According to Tulane University's team physician Dr. Greg Stewart, Devon Walker underwent surgery Sunday afternoon.
In a three hour surgery at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, neurosurgeons stabilized his spine. He is now in recovery.
Walker was down on the field for close to 30 minutes. TU's Chaplain led the crowd in prayer during halftime.
Tulane is expected to make another statement about Walker's condition Monday afternoon.
His school has set up a Web page filled with information on how folks can donate money, leave messages and check for updates.
