Posted: Updated:

FAYETTEVILLE (40/29 News) - Christopher Webb, the former Farmington High School Principal, pleaded not guilty at the Washington County Court Monday to five charges, including aggravated assault on a family member.

Farmington police arrested the 43-year-old July 19. Officers said they found him naked, covered in blood while choking a woman with a dead dog, whose throat had been cut, in the bathtub.

Our ABC station in Northwest Arkansas, 40/29 News, reports he only went to jail to be held for his court date after he received medical treatment, including seven days at a facility specializing in mental health services.

Webb was charged with aggravated assault on a family member, third-degree domestic battery, endangering the welfare of a minor, resisting arrest and animal cruelty.

Trial was set for October 23.
