The American Red Cross is asking more blood donors to step up. The organization says blood donations are at the lowest level in 15-years. Red Cross officials say all blood types are needed, especially O-negative, O-positive, A-negative and B-negative.
Officials say summer is typically a slow time of year, but the extreme heat may be keeping donors away.
Donations are down more than 10 percent across the country. To find out where you can help give, just visit the redcrossblood.org.
