Malzahn Dismisses Dyer From Arkansas State For 'Violation Of Team Rules'

Running back Michael Dyer has been dismissed from the Arkansas State football team for a violation of team rules.

ASU confirmed the dismissal in a statement from Coach Gus Malzahn.

"I am truly disappointed that it didn't work out here at ASU for Mike," said Malzahn.  "I wish Mike nothing but the best in the future."

Dyer transferred to ASU in the spring after being suspended indefinitely at Auburn. During his two seasons with the Tigers he eclipsed 1,000 yards and he was the offensive MVP of the Tigers' BCS title season in 2010.
