Robert Burton is excited to join KATV as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. Robert hails from Chicago, but most recently lived in Central Illinois before moving to Little Rock.
He is a Millikin University graduate, who excelled both in the classroom and on the basketball court. He started as a forward for The Big Blue, while earning a Communications degree in record time.
Robert originally aspired to follow in his father's footsteps and become a successful businessman, but a fateful summer internship changed his career path. Robert interned at Chicago's ABC 7 News where he worked with some of the industry's top leaders and was bitten by the broadcast news bug.
In 2010, Robert joined WAND-TV, the NBC affiliate of Central Illinois, as a morning editor. Robert quickly mastered the skill of putting stories together seamlessly. His hard work behind the scenes and comfort in front of the camera helped him easily transition into the role of General Assignment Reporter/ Fill in Sports Anchor just two months later.
After a year at WAND, Robert was given the chance of a lifetime covering one of the top football teams in the nation. Robert knows that Razorback fans are second to none and is excited about covering SEC football and learning the Hog Call "Woo Pig Sooie."
When Robert is not covering sports at KATV, you can find him on the court playing basketball or perfecting his golf game. If you see Robert around town, feel free to say hello.
