Hotel perks have moved beyond the customary chocolate on your pillow. Here are some unexpected ways hotels will accommodate during your stay.

Pick Your Pillow

Many resorts don't just offer a place to rest your head -- they let you choose how you'll rest your head with pillow menus. Royal Plantation in Jamaica has a selection of five different pillows (including water-filled and stress-reducing, buckwheat pillows), while the Mandarin Oriental in Prague lets your pick your pillows and your linens.

Top-notch Turndown

The Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii has a romantic turndown service that includes a trail of orchid petals to your bed, Hawaiian bath crystals and gels, a bottle of champagne, and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Take Your Pet

Lots of hotels allow your favorite four-legged friend to stay with you (check out PetsWelcome.com to find out where), but they'll be especially pampered at W New York-The Tuscany, which offers dog walking, grooming, and even a birthday cake if it's your pet's special day.

Music Minibar

The Crescent hotel in Beverly Hills not only loans guests iPod minis during their visit, you can buy their playlist preloaded onto a brand new iPod to take with you when you leave.

Keep Canoe-dling

The Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa offers room service with a twist -- guests can enjoy breakfast delivered to their bungalow in a canoe.
