OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Down 2-0 as the Western Conference finals shift to Oklahoma City, the Thunder held a team meeting Wednesday to try and regroup before Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Thunder have struggled to corral a San Antonio offense that is clicking on all cylinders during a 20-game winning streak, the longest any NBA team has been able to maintain into the playoffs.
Trying to rally from a 22-point deficit in Game 2, the Thunder may have found something that works. They toughened up, turned it into a more physical contest and cut the lead to six.
Coach Scott Brooks says the Thunder will need that rugged approach and a better sustained effort to beat San Antonio in Game 3 on Thursday night.
