Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Hubert Anyiam has a new team.
Anyiam was signed by the Carolina Panthers, the team announced Monday. Anyiam had signed with San Diego after going undrafted, but the Chargers recently waived him.
At Oklahoma State, the 6'0", 204-pounder, played in 42 games, making 83 catches for 1,052 yards and nine scores. But, his senior season was cut short after an injury suffered in an October 22nd win at Missouri.
The Panthers have several with Oklahoma connections on the roster, adding former OU tight end Joe Jon Finley last week. The Panthers also selected former OU defensive lineman Frank Alexander in the fourth round of last month's NFL Draft.
They join former OU safeties Jonathan Nelson and Reggie Smith, who were already on the team. Smith came over from the 49ers as a free agent on April fourth while Nelson signed with the team in December.
