The Northwest Arkansas Naturals scored 4 runs on a pair of home runs, ultimately beating the Drillers 4-3 Sunday at Arvest Ballpark.
Drillers starting pitcher Nick Schmidt, a resident of the nearby Northwest Arkansas area, is dealt the loss after giving up 4 earned runs over 5 & 2/3 innings.
The Naturals took an early lead on a Wil Myers' solo home run in the bottom of the first inning. Tulsa responded with 3 runs over the next four innings.
Northwest Arkansas would retake the lead in the sixth when Mario Lisson goes with Schmidt's 1-1 pitch over the middle, sending it over the wall in right field. It was a 3-run blast that gave the Naturals a 4-3 lead.
It was the final run of the game.
The third game of the four game series is tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
