(KATV) A tragic accident as crews were replacing power lines in Jefferson County off Bruenetti Street just North of Wabbaseka.
A Channel Seven crew on the scene reports that Highlines Construction Company was replacing old power line poles. At this time, it is believed one of the crew member was holding a pole that hit a live line. The victim was reportedly not wearing gloves.
One person is confirmed dead by electrocution; the other refused to go to the hospital and stayed behind to talk to deputies.
