
SPRINGFIELD Mo. - Oral Roberts could not get anything going offensively, and the Golden Eagles fell 5-0 to Missouri State at Hammons Field in game three of a four game series.
Mike Torrence (1-3) pitched five innings, allowing two runs off five hits with five strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles (9-9) got two doubles from Jared Schlehuber and Jose Trevino but could not bring anyone around to score, leaving seven runners on base.
Missouri State (13-6) took control of the game in the fifth inning with a two-run single from Brock Chaffin. The Bears leaned on starter Nick Petree, who pitched eight scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. The Bears scored three more in the bottom of the eighth after two errors were committed by the Golden Eagles.
The series concludes on Sunday in Springfield, Missouri at 3 p.m.
