Wednesday night the ORU men had their season come to an end before they wanted. Nevada upset the NIT fourth-seed by nine... 68-59.
Seniors Dominique Morrison, Roderick Pearson and Michael Craion played their last games in a Golden Eagle uniform.
They sat in the interview room after the game in disbelief that their careers were over. ORU Coach Scott Sutton that this team could have gone a long way in the tournament.
"I hated going out like that," said Coach Scott Sutton. "We didn't play well. We got beat by a very good team, that's an NCAA tournament team. They certainly deserved to be in that tournament, but if you expect to beat a team like that you can't afford to play poorly in areas which we did. We didn't rebound at all, we gave up 19 second-chance points and that was a key going in."
