Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola to Kick Off the
Citywide Cleanup in Little Rock on Saturday, March 10
Cleanup activities planned from 8:00 a.m. to noon
WHO: Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola; Central High
School Environmental Club members and other students; Central High School
Principal Nancy Rousseau and other teachers and administrators; Keep Little
Rock Beautiful board members and volunteers; Central High School Neighborhood
Association members and volunteers; and more than 1,000 community volunteers,
including City of Little Rock Neighborhood Alert Center volunteers, e-STEM
Public Charter School students, Boy Scouts, Central High School EAST Initiative
students, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists, Village Commons volunteers and
neighborhood association members from more than 25 city neighborhoods
WHAT: Saturday, March 10, 8:00 a.m. – Cleanup
kickoff and Mayor Stodola's remarks
- Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola will kick off the
2012 citywide cleanup at Central High School (1500 Park Street)
- Mayor Stodola will issue a proclamation about
the citywide cleanup

including Central High School Neighborhood
Keep Little Rock Beautiful (KLRB), a certified local
affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is hosting this citywide cleanup Saturday,
March 10, to promote litter pickup, recycling, beautification and community
improvement in the capital city. The third annual Great American Cleanup in
Little Rock is part of the largest community improvement effort in the nation,
the Great American Cleanup, which takes place annually from March 1 through May
31 and involves an estimated 3 million volunteers nationwide.
