
Oklahoma State's Liz Donohoe has been named the Big 12 Conference women's basketball Freshman of the Year, the league announced Monday.
Donohoe, a 6'0" forward from Edmond, led the Cowgirls in scoring with a 12.4 points per game average, which was 15th in the Big 12.
Donohoe also led the team and was eighth in the conference in rebounding at 7.1 caroms per game, was second in the Big 12 in free throw percentage (87.5%) and ninth with 38 three-pointers made.
She was also second on the team in steals and assists.
Oklahoma State is 16-11 this season and will be the seven seed when the Big 12 Conference women's basketball tournament begins Wednesday in Kansas City.
The Cowgirls will play Missouri at 7:30 p.m. at Municipal Auditorium.
