
Josh Smith scored seven of his 30 points in the final two minutes as the Atlanta Hawks held off Oklahoma City 97-90 to halt the Thunder's win streak at seven.
With Atlanta ahead 89-88, Smith buried a 3-pointer to extend the lead, then added a jumper with one minute left and sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 24 seconds to play.
Oklahoma City rallied from eleven points down to tie the game on Russell Westbrook's jumper with 7:29 to play. But, the Hawks scored the next eight points and never trailed again.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder (29-8) with 35 points and eight rebounds. Westbrook added 25 points.
With a three-game east coast road trip behind them, the Thunder come home to begin a string of five straight at the Chesapeake Arena when they host the Dallas Mavericks at 7 p.m. Monday night.
