GARLAND COUNTY – Family and friends are grieving after a Wednesday afternoon homicide that killed 34-year-old Maxwell Anderson.

"I pray for his family right now because they need it," said Heather Dyre, a longtime friend of Anderson's.

He leaves behind a teenage son, after Anderson was shot and killed in a Garland County driveway. Authorities have no suspects or motives.

Two people were detained last night but were let go shortly after without charges. One of the people questioned was Hot Springs attorney Andi Davis.

Dyre met Anderson while he owned and operated ArkansasVibe Magazine, a Hot Springs-based modeling magazine. There, they developed a friendship she had hoped would last a lifetime.

"He's never been mean to anybody or done anything to hurt anybody," she said. "So I hope justice is served."
