Hi there!

I'm wondering if I can get a statement from the White House on a story I'm working on.

The families of the two men that were shot while standing outside a recruiting office in Little Rock in June of 2009 (Private William Long was killed, Private Quinton Ezeagwula was injured) are hoping to get Purple Heart awards for their loved ones. Everyone I have spoken to seems to agree that they qualify for the award (because of a provision that allows victims of terrorism on US soil to be eligible) but don't know why it hasn't happened.

All of Arkansas' US lawmakers are in support of legislation that would make it happen.

Please call or email anytime with any questions.

This story is slated to air on KATV Channel 7 on Tuesday, February 21 at 10pm.

Thanks so much for your help!!!
