VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP) - Prosecutors have charged an Arkansas man with first-degree murder after authorities say he killed a 16-year-old girl he met online.
In a court document filed Tuesday, prosecutors in Sebastian County charged Lloyd Jones with first-degree murder in the death of Angela Allen, whose body was found in a barrel last week.
Angela went missing Feb. 10 after she told a relative she was going out for a walk. Instead, authorities say, Jones told them he picked her up at a parking lot in Van Buren and took her to the river outside Lavaca, where he lives.
Authorities say Jones pushed Angela into the water after she told him how old she was.
Jones did not have an attorney listed. He's supposed to go before a judge Wednesday.
