Casey named interim dean of UALR law school

Little Rock -

Former U.S. Attorney Paula Casey has been named interim dean of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Bowen School of Law.

Casey will serve as interim dean beginning July 1 and will hold the post until a new leader is selected. She replaces John DiPippa, who announced in December that he'll step down after four years as dean.

Casey served on the law school faculty form 1978 to 1993 and rejoined it in 2001. She also served as associate dean from 1986 to 1991. She has taught lawyering skills, criminal procedure, family law and other courses at the school.

Casey also served as chief counsel and legislative assistant to Sen. Dale Bumpers.
