Grieving family members learn the awful truth. Investigators say a fire that killed 2 Mountain Pine residents including a child was arson.
A 13-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man died tragically during a blaze four months ago, but now Sheriff Deputies tell the mourning families that the fire was set intentionally.
The Garland County Sheriff's Office ruled that the fire that killed 13-year-old Tyler French and Ricky Clinton was intentionally set.
The blaze destroyed two Mountain Pine Homes, investigators say the arsonist set a vacant house on fire and it spread to Clinton's home.
Clinton's teenaged son was hosting a sleep over that night and four children including Tyler were at the house when the fire started.
Witnesses say Clinton originally got out of the house but ran back inside to try and save Tyler. Investigators found traces of accelerant at the fire site.
They have interviewed multiple suspects but so far have not made any arrests.
