Members of the Conway Police Department were called to a downtown restaurant early Sunday morning to break up a disturbance between attendees at a private party.
Officers arriving at the party hosted at Michaelangelo's, had to call for back up from deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and officers with the University of Central Arkansas's Police Department.
According to La Tresha Woodruff, public information officer, CPD was called by someone working at the party, who stated that the building was near capacity and they needed help to clear the area. However, once the officers arrived and saw an altercation in progress and the large number of people in attendance, they immediately called for assistance.
