Getting unwanted attention from our Seven-On-Your-Side office has been known to anger people, send them into hiding, even motivate some to do the right thing and repay a victim.
But what happened today to the subject of a report we aired on Wednesday is a first.
We don't know what was going through Chris Young's mind or through his system Friday, but we know what was going through his stomach…a knife.
And we know who was holding the knife.
Young himself.
Young was taken to Jefferson County Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening, self-inflicted knife wounds before being transferred to jail.
That is where Young will likely stay until another law enforcement agency…either out of Georgia, Alabama or El Dorado…comes to get him.
On Wednesday we told you about the kind of activity that has been getting Young into trouble…theft by deception.
A Conway homeowner says he charged her $500 dollars for about 30 minutes of work on the roof of her mobile home after giving her a pre-job estimate of $75 dollars.
"What do you hope happens to this guy?"
"I hope I get my money back and I hope he goes to jail and can't do this to anybody else."
Well our anonymous home owner is getting some of her money back thanks to Faulkner County investigator Monty Vickers.
Vickers pointed out to her bank that one of the two checks she wrote to Chris Young was post-dated and should not have been cashed until today.
Because it was mistakenly cashed early, that money will be credited to her account.
Air date: February 3rd, 2012
