Orlando, Fla. – The Tulsa women's basketball team dropped a 54-48 decision to UCF on Thursday night at UCF Arena in Orlando, Fla. The Golden Hurricane fell to 9-11 on the season and 4-5 in Conference USA, while the Knights moved to 10-11 overall and 5-4 in the league.
Taleya Mayberry had a team-leading 13 points, followed by Taylor Hooker with seven, and Tiffani Couisnard and Jessica McQuin with six each. Mariah Turner and Kadan Brady both came in off the bench and added five points. Couisnard pulled down double-digit rebounds with 10 and Hooker had eight boards.
The Knights were led by a trio of players in double figures, including 14 by Gevenia Carter, 13 by Kayli Keough and 12 by Aisha Patrick. Patrick also pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds, while Erika Jones had 10.
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, February 5th against Houston. That game is set for 2:00 pm at the Reynolds Center.
