Forrest City -
The mother of a 16-year-old arrested last week in connection with several area burglaries is now facing criminal charges of her own.
According to a report from the Forrest City Police Department, Marion Grady Taylor, 36, 726 N. Izard, Apt. 4, Forrest City, turned herself in at the police department just after 4 p.m. Monday.
The department held warrants for Taylor for $510 for failure to appear and $290 for neglect of a minor resulting in delinquency. The neglect charge was levied after Taylor's son was one of three teens arrested last week for allegedly breaking into a home on North Izard Street and into Broadway Grocery only days prior to the Izard Street incident.
Taylor is scheduled to appear in St. Francis County District Court Wednesday. Her son, Nautica Gardner, is being held in the St. Francis County Jail on $17,500 bond for residential burglary and is charged as an adult in the case.
