The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is considering proposed changes to antler restrictions in a number of wildlife management areas and deer zones across the state.
Commission spokesman Keith Stephens says the agency is exploring three types of restrictions that could give hunters a chance to take home bigger bucks.
Those restrictions are the 3-point rule, four-by-four slot and a 4-point rule or 18-inch main beam. The restrictions would protect younger or smaller bucks and give them a chance to mature.
Stephens says the agency is looking for feedback on the proposed changes at its public meetings across the state on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The meetings will be held in Calico Rock, Fayetteville, Hope, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Monticello, Mount Ida and Russellville.
