Authorities in Pope County have arrested a stabbing suspect who's eluded police since October.
Pope County Sheriff Aaron DuVall tells the Russellville Courier that Wesley Elmore was arrested Sunday near Russellville. The sheriff says police stopped Elmore's vehicle on Interstate 40 on Saturday and that Elmore took off running.
Authorities say Elmore was captured almost a day later a few miles south of where he was stopped on the interstate.
A warrant was issued for Elmore's arrest for first-degree battery in connection with a stabbing that happened Oct. 25.
