A Republican running for a south Arkansas congressional seat says he's raised more than $197,000 in the last three months of 2011, while a Democrat running for an east Arkansas district says he raised more than $131,000.
Republican Tom Cotton announced Tuesday he has raised more than $500,000 total in his bid for the seat being vacated by Democratic U.S. Rep. Mike Ross. Cotton is 1 of 4 Republicans running for Ross' seat.
Cotton said he has $479,000 on hand for his campaign. Two Democrats have said they're running for Ross' seat.
State Rep. Clark Hall announced he raised $131,714 for his campaign to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford in east Arkansas. Hall, 1 of 2 Democrats running for the seat, says he has $107,044 on hand.
