
With its victory over previously unbeaten and top-ranked Iowa, Oklahoma State vaulted into the top spot in the NWCA/USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Cowboys ended Iowa's 84-dual unbeaten streak Saturday by beating the Hawkeyes 17-16 in Iowa City. Iowa was tied with OSU for the NCAA record longest winning streak.
Iowa slipped to number two in the rankings, which were released Tuesday. Penn State moved up a spot to third while Minnesota is fourth and Cornell is fifth.
The Cowboys are a perfect 6-and-0 this season, with victories over top programs Minnesota (4th), Oklahoma (12th), Wyoming (13th).
Oklahoma State gets nearly two weeks off before their next dual against Arizona State on January 20th. It will be the first of five straight home contests for the Cowboys.
