Former University of Tulsa H-back Charles Clay wrapped up his rookie season by catching the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 19-17 Sunday in Miami.
The Dolphins (6-10) trailed 10-6 heading to the fourth quarter when Clay capped a 21-play, 94-yard drive with a one-yard TD catch. The touchdown was the third of the season for the TU product, who was a sixth-round pick in last year's NFL Draft.
Clay finishes his rookie season with 16 receptions for 233 yards and three touchdowns.
Miami, which began the season 0-and-7, won six of its final nine games to move out of the AFC East basement.
