Tulsa head football coach Bill Blankenship has announced Clint Rountree will coach running backs for the Golden Hurricane in the upcoming Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.
Rountree, who is Tulsa's Director of High School Relations, will fill in for Holman Wiggins, who left the staff last week to take a similar position at Memphis.
Rountree is a 2005 graduate and four-year letterwinner at the University of Tulsa. After graduating, he spent two seasons coaching defensive secondary at Delta State (MS) before returning to Tulsa as a graduate assistant in 2010.
He was named Director of High School Relations last January.
A permanent replacement for Wiggins will be announced after the first of the year.
Tulsa plays BYU in the bowl game, which will be played December 30th in Fort Worth, Texas.
