Fans who attend functions at TU's Reynolds Center are about to get an upgrade.
A 30-foot wide and 15-foot tall video board is about to be installed at the Reynolds Center, giving fans a view more than four times that of the current video board.
The concept came from the huge video board at Cowboys Stadium and will give the University of Tulsa a one-of-a-kind experience for college basketball.
The only other basketball video board in existence similar to what's going in at the Reynolds Center is in use at the Amway Center -- the home of the NBA's Orlando Magic.
The current video board will be torn down immediately following Wednesday night's game against Wichita State and the installation of the new one will begin at 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
It should be ready to debut by fall commencement on December 17th and for use later that evening for the TU men's and women's teams.
The project is being funded through a donation from Oneok.
