A memorial service is underway in Stillwater to remember the lives of four people affiliated with Oklahoma State University who died Thursday when a plane crashed in central Arkansas.

OSU Women's Head Basketball Coach Kurt Budke, assistant Miranda Serna and OSU alums and donors Olin and Paula Branstetter, died when the Piper Cherokee airplane they were in crashed near Perryville, Arkansas, about 30 miles northwest of Little Rock.

The memorial service began at 1 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. Speaking at today's service will be Larry Reece, OSU Athletic Director Mike Holder, interim women's basketball coach Jim Littell, former OSU player Taylor Hardeman and OSU President Burns Hargis.

A bagpipe solo will be performed by Scott McKinley and music will also be performed by the Oklahoma State University Wind Ensemble and April Golliver, Associate Professor of Voice at OSU.

Classes during today's service have been cancelled so that students may attend or watch the memorial service. Flags at all state buildings have also been lowered to half staff to honor the victims.
