Man Found Dead in Bathtub, Maumelle Police Investigating

Posted: Updated:

Police are investigating what they're calling a 'sudden death' at a Maumelle home over the holiday weekend.

Authorities were called to 16 Village Way Drive around 8:00 a.m. Monday, where they discovered the body of 24-year-old Dexter Williams in an empty whirlpool bathtub.

According to a police report, Williams did not live at the home, but was visiting with another man—33-year-old Brett Cummins, a local television meteorologist.

The homeowner—36-year-old Christopher Barbour--told police that both Cummins and Williams fell asleep in the bathtub late Sunday night. Cummins woke up Monday morning and discovered Williams' body.

Alcohol and drugs were found in the home.  Police do not know the relationship between all the men.

No charges have been filed in the case and no one is in police custody.
