A Gurdon High School sophomore collapsed at football practice and later died.  Montel Williams was just fifteen years old.

Gurdon football coach John Pace says Williams fell to one knee after a series of wind sprints during practice on Tuesday night.

Preliminary autopsy results should be available tomorrow.  Investigators are keeping an open mind and are looking into whether heat exhaustion or an undiagnosed medical condition could have played a role in Williams death.

Coach John Pace says the team will dedicate its season to Williams and try to get through this tragedy together.  "They're all in shock, kind of like we all are."  Pace says, "Only time will help that."

Gurdon students will go back to school on Monday.  Grief counselors will be made available to Williams's friends.
