A juvenile shot in the head and left hand in the East End community of Saline County on Sunday is recovering from wounds today, but the shooter has died, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office.

According to reports, just before 8:40 a.m. Sunday deputies were called to the 6600 block of Turkey Creek Trail where Jessie Carter, 18, of Pine Bluff had allegedly shot a juvenile girl. Reportedly the girl and two other juveniles entered the home that morning to find the suspect had hid inside a bathroom.

The girl then reportedly screamed that she would call police, when Carter threatened to kill her. Two juveniles told deputies that 10 minutes later they heard three gun shots in the bathroom, they escaped the home through a window and ran to a neighbors home.
