Scooter sales are up due to high gas prices

High gas prices have people changing the way they commute.

Scooter sales jumped 37% from the beginning of the year to May.

Those numbers come from the Motorcycle Industry Council. Many of the two-wheelers can get 80 miles to the gallon.

So while the average American pays $177 a month on gas, scooter converts say they only spend about 20 bucks.
