(KATV) Friday was the final night of preliminary competition at the 2011 Miss Arkansas Pageant at Summit Arena in Hot Springs. This year's Miss Arkansas Pageant is themed "Bring The Fire" and features 46 contestants from around the state. They competed for more than $76,000 in college and university scholarship funds.
Kristen Glover, a senior Chemistry Major from Stuttgart was crowned Miss Arkansas. She gets $20,000 scholarship provided by Ted and Shannon Boy Skokos (Miss Arkansas 1992) and $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation, gifts and more.
Glover represents Stuttgart and Ouachita Baptist University. She is the daughter of Keith and Mary Glover.
Glover tap danced as her talent at the Miss Arkansas Pageant, with a performance of "I Got Rhythm." Her platform is "Second Chances: Empowering Youth to Rise Above."
Glover will enter the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas in January.

3rd Runner Up - $6,000 scholarship – Somer Allen
4th Runner Up - $5,000 scholarship – Sloane Roberts
Semi-Finalist - $1,000 – Dorothy Shepherd
Semi-Finalist - $1,000 – Bethany Bell
Semi-Finalist - $1,000 – Dalia Garrison
Semi-Finalist - $1,000 – Rosalyn Taylor
Semi-Finalist - $1,000 – Kacey Keefe
