Cotton Plant Mother Wants Justice for Her Murdered Son

Posted: Updated:

It's the news no mother wants to hear, but, Linda Blue, sitting in her home in Cotton Plant last February, was told that her son David had been shot in Little Rock. Nearly five months later, his killer has not been caught.

"Hard. Even for his nieces and nephews. It's been very hard," says Blue, trying not to cry.

She and her family are still trying to adjust to life without Linda's son, 26 year old David Blue. He was gunned down while inside a friend's home on Redwood on February 24th. The details of the crime are still vague. Police say he had a fight with someone named Cory earlier in the day, then went to the home on Redwood. Witnesses say shots rang out from outside the home. When police arrived, they found David dead on the floor. Officers are not even sure the bullets were meant for him.

"It could be that he was the target, it could be that he was not. We won't know until we talk to someone who can give us some definite answers," says Sargeant Cassandra Davis.

That's what Linda Blue wants. Definite answers. And someone behind bars.

"I want to see justice. I want to know why. I want to know the reason why someone would take my child's life. He didn't deserve it," she says.

If you know anything about the murder of David Blue, call the Crimestoppers Hotline, at 371-4636. You could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. All calls are kept confidential.
