J. D. Martinez came through with a clutch RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday, bringing the game-winning run across the plate.
With the 3-2 loss, the Drillers must now win on Sunday to take the series from the Hooks.
Tulsa's only two runs of the game came in the fourth inning, when Ben Paulsen hit a two-run homer to left field.
That homer tied the game at two, which is where it stayed until Martinez ended the game.
The rubber-match between the two clubs from Whataburger Field is set for a 6:05PM first pitch on Saturday.
