Fatal accident on Highway 79 in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Arkansas State Police were on the scene of a fatal accident on Highway 79 two miles east of Wabbaseka Thursday morning.

Two people were killed when two cars hit head on just after 8 a.m.

Police report that five passengers have been taken to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Crews have also been working to clear the wreckage from the roadway.
