
A day after signing with the Toronto Blue Jays, former Oral Roberts outfielder Nick Baligod has his first assignment.
Baligod was assigned to the Vancouver Canadians of the Northwest League in Short-Season A. He was selected by the Blue Jays in the 40th round of the Major League Baseball draft last week.
The Fairfield, California native led the Golden Eagles with a .364 batting average, 67 runs, 136 total bases, 90 hits, 21 doubles and two triples and was second in steals (15), tied for third in home runs (7) and fourth in runs batted in (41).
He was named a first-team All-Summit League player for the second straight season.
